A different standaert
Barbara Standaert
As a space and object designer, Barbara is always looking for new inventive ideas that surprise. How can standard objects or spaces transform to something new.
I like to call myself a designer of spaces, interiors, furniture and concepts. The connection of people with their surroundings, how they live, work and use space has always got my curiosity. After my studies of Human Science, Interior architecture was the perfect match to combine my social skillss, spatial awareness and creative mind. A hands on extra year of furniture design gave me the real feeling of designing and testing on a 1/1 scale. Now working in an Architecture firm on Urban Planning projects, gives me the chance to get in touch with a bigger scale. Here I’m thinking out concepts, looking for materials and working on new outdoor furniture models.
