Studio Daniel Costa
LUM is an archaic sound which connects us to the earth and names my first line of rugs, which is rooted in the Himalayas, the ground where yak, sheep and goat graze and over hundreds of years have adopted to whipping weathers. Where the mountains set the tone to life, survival, mythology and craft.

About Studio Daniel Costa
There is a fundamental difference between Art and Design, but there also is an area where they overlap and touch each other. And this is where my interest lies.
I seek out for creation which relates to mankind in a more abstract, more emotional and therefore in a more time-enduring way. The hand, the hand made and the hand me down-object are core ideas to my undertakings, fibre, matter and the context of craftsmanship are the base. I am a South-Tyrolean interdisciplinary maker based in Paris.
