A moving-image work and installation which Incorporates contemporary and traditional craft processes such as puppetry, a hacked CNC machine and a musical score as a tool to deconstruct the narratives around ‘progress’ in relation to precarious labour practices and technological development.
In September 2019 my dad was made redundant. From a company he had worked at for 43 years. It was a matter of circumstance. A product of ‘progress’. This is not a new story. It is one replayed again and again throughout history. Those who do not step away
