Social designer Joost van Wijmen researches the impact of bodily changes on identity, social interaction and wellbeing. In ENCOUNTER#7 he asks people of various ages to map their life. Residents of care centres have had a lifetime of changes. Their drawn timelines show them as experts of change.
During life our body changes. It becomes taller and it grows stronger, it wears out and sometimes it becomes ill. While we age we undergo more changes and each time we adapt. This has an impact on how we feel and how we behave.
