Our soil is full of PFAS, a group of ‘forever chemicals’ that have been widely used since the 50’s. Due to their wide appliance and industrial activity, PFAS are now found all around the world in soil, water, wildlife and even humans. This is harmful and toxic. How to clean up this mess?
Last year, when PFAS was put on the political agenda, it shut down the building sector of The Netherlands. The majority of Dutch soil tested positive. Techniques to clean the soil are being developed but since PFAS has one of the strongest chemical bonds
