The New Normal collection
Nikola Zelmanović
The New Normal tableware bridges the gap between intimacy and distance, enabling safe food sharing while simultaneously connecting and separating the served dishes.
The New Normal tableware is designed to enable safe food sharing between two people; the served dishes are presented as a whole but are separated with subtle protective barriers. This is done in a discreet manner that doesn’t diminish the communal dining
About BOIR
BOIR sets the scene for culinary adventures and inventions by creating artisan tableware which enhances the dining experience.
The studio was founded in 2018 by an interdisciplinary team: Vlatka Leskovar Zidar, a product designer, and Ivan Zidar, a graphic designer turned chef. Ivan's understanding of local ingredients and endless love for culinary experimentation blends with Vlatka's ever-evolving exploration of the way physical objects inspire rituals and incite memories.
