Waffle Contrasts is a Master’s degree project in the field of textile design that explores the traditional waffle weave and aims to showcase new artistic expressions of it.
The textiles in this project were woven on industrial jacquard looms with materials of contrasting qualities. The aim of exploring the boundaries of what is possible to do with the waffle weave was accomplished by a thorough material and colour research.
