The Story of the Robotic Dresses

360Fashion Network created 360Fash Tech Kits - kits for fashion designers to create smart garments without the need to code or solder. In 2019 we tested the kits with two designers to see how easy it would be for them to create mechanical clothing which moves. We also wanted to see what their creativity would come up with in the process. This would help us to improve the kits by real-world examples and have wonderful showcase pieces.

Robotic Dress Tour

in 2019, 360Fashion Network, toured the dresses at New York Fashion Week in a fashion show for diversity and inclusion - the Melange Movement, showcased them at Bloomingdales in the heart of San Francisco in an exhibition called "Connected Couture" courtesy of FiSF, and rocked them down the runway at the LA Fashion Week in the Sanctuary Fashion Show. Now in 2021 we bring them to the world thanks to the Fashion Tech Farm and augmented reality powered by 360Fashion Network, in a virtual exhibition.
