Aquatecture Detail
Angeline Swinkels
68% of the world’s population is projected to live in cities by 2050 (un.org). As a result, urban water needs will increase, placing paramount pressure on water systems. The question of how to manage our water differently led designer Shaakira Jassat to enrich urban architecture with Aquatecture.

About Shaakira Jassat
Aquatecture is a modular architectural panel designed to harvest rain water.
When integrated with technology, it has the ability to harvest moisture from the air.
Instead of sliding off the surface, the panel permits water to be collected through a punctured, geometric surface.
