ESCAPE

Between dream and reality

The bed builds on their previous project 'Siblings be like ...' a collection of objects depicting their family. Their brainchild, the 'ESCAPE', a stylized human figure is at the basis of the design. The duo designed the bed based on the need to escape from everyday life and marks the transition between dream and reality. A place, where, as in their own experience, fiction and reality merge. The two large figures on either side of the bed mark the line between fantasy and reality and at the same time form a gateway to a world where everything is possible. The bedroom further consists of a carpet that depicts the universe of the design duo. The design is a collage of various hand-painted geometric shapes and figures. On that same rug 'DIDOU', a white side table with a round tabletop of black glass.
