Felt sense gives an insight into the theme of transformation design, holistic sustainability and how you can implement creative ideas in conjunction with reduction and circularity based on theoretical knowledge.

A vision of a big transformation.

Transformation is what is happening now. But also the state humanity is in at any time. Everything is always changing. The question is how we want to deal with it. Do we consciously deal with the causes, the problems and try to find solutions and changes? The principle of many "small heterotopias" (according to Harald Welzer: Transformation Design) is used. How can reduction be designed, based on the many pieces of information without creativity and design falling by the wayside?

Sustainable living

Felt sense consists of clothing, textiles and accessories for interiors and combines crafting techniques, natural plant dyes and criteria of Cradle to Cradle.

About Miriam Steinmacher

Miriam Steinmacher is a designer and artist with focus on print, textile and sustainability. The constant examination of global sustainability, psychological and philosophical issues plays a major role. Her small label, felt sense (intuition) only produces what is possible and ethically justifiable in its own country with its own hands (slow production). An approach to counteract externalisation. Form follows consequence.
