De Servieskast is a project with which I want to trigger the mindset of people. I do this by alienating the everyday, in this case, the tableware in such a way that the function of the product disappears. This makes something this functional no longer usable, but what remains?

The alienation

In order to visualize the message of functional vs non-functional, I started to alienate the tableware. I did the alienation of the tableware with the help of the metal frame. In the 'wet phase' of the process, the clay was still flexible. This allowed me to bend the plate around the frame. I repeated this step of the process till almost all plates, mugs and bowls were alienated.
