The design and build of a cathedral can take generations, passing down knowledge and skills. A bridge made from root systems grows and strengthens over time. Medicine freed up from legal patents, can benefit all people in the coming future.

Design for Generations is an idea, an ideology, represented in an ever growing archive of concepts and projects. We can choose to learn from such examples of design and designed systems. We are able to overcome the issues of our times if we rethink and redesign our way of life, and set it up for the long term.
