Just like memories, materials melt together and the lines between fact and fiction start to blur.

Expanding on Sarah Roseman's graduation project presented in 2021, Molten Memories

This wall piece relates to the temporal, sometimes fantastical nature of childhood memory in domestic space. Glaze merges into resin and tufting grows between the cracks as ceramic and textile marry together, similar to the way we remember past. Grassy Lagoon is one of three from a collection of tapestries combining tufting with other materials expanding from the original Molten Memories carpet, which featured a living landscape of many different sections of used material growing together inspired by childhood memory.
