Jordan Artisan will set up an impressive centerpiece at the Dutch Design Week. His pieces are theatrically centered around the focal point. Some shadows and shapes of the objects will form a harmonious composition. Jordans work shows various techniques of organic approach in construction materials such as welded rebar, tile adhesive on EPS and papier-mâché with reinforced steel. The building materials he use normally depict despair; they are to be hidden underneath the floor, within a wall or behind a tile. After experimenting with the materials, Jordan found an innovative way of using them and giving them new aesthetics; “LET’S TURN SHARP INTO ROUND, DARK INTO LIGHT AND METAL INTO SOMETHING MORE FLUID."
