Land-Ally is an agricultural land turned into a participatory nature reserve. Located near Eindhoven, it is managed as a site for interspecies collaboration between people, plants and animals. The aim is to restore the land from its former agricultural use and form an alliance with the non-human.
About Marte Mei van Haaster
Her practice revolves around engagement and collaboration with non-human entities. She creates tactile landscape interventions, inviting the audience to engage with the work and explore the possibility of inters-species collaboration. She reflects on the narratives that impact the way humans relate to nature; politically, spiritually, and culturally. Marte Mei van Haaster graduated Cum Laude from the MA Social Design at DAE in 2022, Rietveld in 2016, after which she was part of art duo Max/Mei.
