I wanted to capture the continuous change of windshield wipers with an installation. After a lot of research, I created a light installation where a random pattern of glow in the dark light stripes arise. The end result is a continuously changing product that keeps the interest of the eye.

RAIN, my graduation project

I get inspiration from daily changes. I combine this inspiration with my knowledge about moving mechanisms and light. The outcome is that my work will evolve constantly and will be interesting to look at. This is my work called RAIN. It is the outcome of my curiosity of rain that falls down on a window of a car and the windshields that wipe the drops away. The harder it rains the faster the wipers will go, the same event is occurring in my work RAIN. The light changes because of a code that is connected to the amount of clouds in mwanza Tanzania. If there are many clouds more light wills shine at the glow in the dark paint, so more drops appear in a random pattern. Below 20 percent of clouds in the sky and the led light will go on sleep mode, similar to the wipers of a car with little rain. The base of the change in my work is nature. I hope that after seeing this phenomenon people will be (more) fascinated about daily changing things such as the wipers of your car and the rain that is falling down.
