Rule&Play is a game that teaches some key notions of politics, through roleplay. Children are encouraged to share their ideas and exchange their point of views in an interactive and playful way, while learning some basic knowledge to understand how politics affects their daily life.

Politics is not only for grown-ups

Whether you turn on the TV, listen to the radio or surf online, every election season political messages are everywhere and on everything from health care, the economy, to war abroad and climate change. Children are influenced by the same messages as adults but may not fully understand what is going on. It is important to acknowledge children can be curious about politics and address their questions: politics is not only for grown-ups. Rule&Play is a game that helps teachers to talk about politics with 9 to 12 year olds. Through roleplay, children can start to understand some of the key notions of politics like the role of ministers. They are encouraged to share their ideas and exchange their point of views in an interactive and playful way, while learning skills like the process of deliberation and some basic knowledge to understand how politics affects their daily life.
