Twisted signs of life _ Opaline System

Base design

Installation of hanging luminous sculptures. When glass come meddle and get caught in three-dimensional weavings.

Story

Alice Pandolfo makes us experience an almost forgotten history. She reuses and assembles glass and cristal from chandeliers and lamps that belonged to our ancestors. Beaded in a three-dimensional weaving of ropes and ribbon, the glass are re-combined and re-cut to find a new harmony.

About Alice Pandolfo

Alice Pandolfo has a sculptural and itinerant approach of soft materials. Her research brings to life, in a pictorial way, the memories of the territories she invests through the use of broken, forgotten or obsolete objects. Alice's sculptures and domestic objects convey her attachment to craftsmanship, her fascination for manufactured objects and her questioning of the interstices that exist between time and space.
