Constructive beams bring many possibilities in architecture. They have a noble task, often overlooked. Here, the beam is elevated to become a sculpture. No form is excessive. It is a play of lines that is predictable yet satisfying. Everything comes together but is still difficult to grasp.

Magic derived from simplicity.

The basalt pedestals beneath the beam enhance the radiance of the steel. The contrast between man made and formed by nature shows the clear contrast architecture inhabits in its core. The solid shapes which Beam is constructed with follow the line of Frank Penders his way of designing. Slender lines and solid surfaces. It gives the opportunity to form a solid but also an emptiness. There is an inside and outside that connect in the same perspective. A solid silhouette in its core.
