Event type

Exhibition

Model&Objekt
This brick-and-concrete dominated area around Eindhoven station offering a lot of space to cars and office buildings. In 20 years’ time, this will be generously planted and have water features. And 16 thousand inhabitants. An area for living, working, recreation, strolling and culture.

Videomapping

‘Contrasts in Knoop XL’ leads you through these changes. Video mapping is used to project the organic transformation on an official model of the area. It takes you through the changes through merging colours and blending shapes. In addition, you can apply the extra digital dimension linked to the model: watch on your phone or tablet and see how street life in the model could look in 20 years’ time. Or completely immerse yourself in the future with the VR visor.

Want to help with the emergence of even more exciting connections?

Get an idea of Knoop XL, imagine how this could become an area that will lift the quality of life in Eindhoven to an even higher level. And discover the contrasts of Knoop XL. And maybe think of some yourself, too. You know, old school, just chalk it up on the blackboard.

About Gemeente Eindhoven

Eindhoven is growing, transforming, and moving forward. At the same time, there are major challenges. During Dutch Design Week, the municipality provides a picture of how, throughout the year, residents, visitors, and organizations work together for a healthy future for the city.
