Genesis

Along many years, Sof has been developing a research to extract and use the essence of one of the most Ancient Art Technique that is Mosaic.  Mosaics are made of three elements: Substrate, Tesserae and Glue. He discovered that these three key elements have the potential to work together within a Synergetic System.

Development

He further used this mosaic’s inner system to develop an object in which light is used as a Substrate, magnetism is used as Glue and Tesserae are magnified via the breaking and shaping of eloquent materials.

Outcome

It’s a fusion of Art and Design. Aligning Aesthetics and Function. An object merging light emission and magnetism (cf. MLS for Magnetic Light Surface). Enhancing the matter of a new kind of Tesserae.  The user is free to take the role of the mosaicist, interacting with the piece by moving the Tesserae into desired and unique shapes. Discovering new forms by covering and revealing light.
