NATTINATT

What if we could use our body heat to light?

Future sensors are currently being developed to self-power devices thanks to thermoelectricity. This prospective lamp is as much a magic spark for a cosy bedtime routine as it showcases the potential for energy efficiency and sustainability. Nightlights on the market mostly rely on batteries or frequent recharging. Moreover, they sometimes light up in a short wavelength and cold colour that affects the circadian system. This prevents the users from falling asleep. Nattinatt diffuses a warm dim light from the moment it is held in the hands. Bedtime becomes a golden moment to look forward to. Children can fall asleep with the light which will turn off when skin contact is lost. Unnecessary light pollution is therefore avoided while sleeping. All in all, this nightlight helps transition between day and nighttime by creating a calming ambience before a restful slumber.
