'The ManyTree' by arboreal architect Josh Russo-Batterham explores a new typology for urban greenery: A hybrid tree; half-built and half-grown. This prompts us to think differently about how use and value greenery in our cities, and challenges us with the question "what if we could 'build' trees?".
About Studio JNRB
JNRB is the design studio of Australian architect Joshua Norman Russo-Batterham. Aside from his experience as a registered architect, Josh’s varied career has also involved teaching design studios and working in digital fabrication. Having grown up in a very green part of Melbourne (itself a very green city) his work has always explored themes of integrating nature in creative ways. This has created a body of work that is a fusion of design, nature, technology and urbanism
