This project consists of five transformable indoor textiles that adapt to different functions in a home. The jacquard-woven textiles offer space and material-saving solutions, while their intricate graphics and tactilities provide a rich sensory experience to users.

Project Description

Nowadays, a wide variety of activities take place in homes. This project aims at creating indoor textiles that adapt to different functions to offer space and material saving solutions and bring more playfulness to the interior. Five transformable textile objects were designed for different functions in a room: a teapot cover/tablecloth, a coaster/napkin, a room divider/mattress, a chair cover/blanket and a cushion/sleeping bag. Produced using jacquard weaving techniques, these textiles’ strong visual and tactile features also stimulate the user’s senses when manipulating the objects.
