Amsterdam based design studio OSSO will showcase different light objects, ranging from interactive installations to clocks that display time in new way. The collection is made up out of 6 objects, that house different concepts, but always embody craftsmanship and a playful use of modern electronics

Reflections

With a series of special mirrors, studio OSSO tries to put beholders into a childlike state of wonder as light creates new spaces right before their eyes. Mirrors on Display Tunnelvisie An interactive installation that creates a mesmerizing light tunnel which unfolds before the viewers eyes as they move closer. Arches The infinity mirrors from the ongoing art project ‘Arches’ are each filled with unique light animations that slowly change over time and which are inspired by natural events; like water wrinkles, sunrise and even gravity. Infinity Mirror 1.0 This infinity mirror captures a simple optical illusion in a walnut wood frame, creating a hexagon shaped light tunnel that adds another dimension to any space it is placed in. Rise A dark mirror that is lit up from inside by the morning sun. Using a technique of layered glass and adressable led lighting, owners can grab the sun and move it up and down, creating different colour schemes with each new position of the sun. Schijnheil Schijnheil is a divine mirror which plays with Its beholder’s virtue and turns them into a saint.

Time

Most clocks are boring, but time itself is quite interesting. That's why studio OSSO tries to envision new ways to show time using light as its dial. Clocks on Display Equilibrium Inspired by the 90's dystopian movie with the same name, this dodecagon shaped light clock tries to bring time down to it's essence. Equilibrium slowly fills itself up with light with every passing second, creating a smooth but minimalistic visualization of the passing of time. Radial A clock that captures time as it expands outwards. Radial is made up out of 12 rings that light up with each hour. Using a special lamination technique, the hour rings only appear as soon as light hits them.
