Many communities in the Global South are burdened with the Global North's unwanted textiles. These garments often end up on local markets like Kantamanto Market, where limited resources and traditions drive the creation of re- and upcycling methods to repurpose what we consider waste.
About Kantamanto Social Club
Kantamanto Social Club, born from the Kantamanto market, is a vibrant community uniting individuals against fast fashion. It showcases and celebrates the Kanta community's unique work while raising awareness about fast fashion's environmental impact. The community highlights creative repurposing and upcycling, urging a reevaluation of fashion choices. At Kantmanto Social Club, creativity and consciousness converge, turning discarded garments into powerful statements.
