MAI is an interactive installation highlighting the water consumption of AI in Microsoft’s data centres. It visualises the environmental cost of AI, showing users that each AI response consumes 3 litres of drinkable water, urging a rethink of our digital footprint and its hidden impact.
About Maraya Ivanova
I recently graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Graphic Design, focusing on Autonomous Practice. The Academy's openness sparked my love for interactivity, coding, and visualisation through experience. Unlike a "typical" graphic designer, I aim to provoke thought and influence behaviour by addressing overlooked topics. I blend creative coding with tangibility and have a passion for book design and typography. I thrive in teamwork, enjoy leading and in making an overview by analysing.
