I'm Tommaso Rolff and I've worked with May Bee as a sound designer and audio consultant for Move-in Moerwijk.

I took care of all the audio infrastructure: May Bee came to me with this project and all I did was bring her sonic ideas to life. She shared these voices recorded in Moerwijk with me and we worked together on the design of a sonic panorama for this installation.

Immersive Sound Design

Maggie already showcased this installation before, by herself. When we met she showed me an Adobe Premiere project she has been smartly using for streaming the audio contents of her work. We talked and she explained to me her ideas to improve the audience experience in terms of immersiveness and general audio quality. I cleaned her audio and re-designed the signal flow for the installation, making it a proper surround system (7.1 without LFE). We had a second meeting in which we mixed and tested a new immersive soundscape, using the new 3D panning possibilities of the system, ending up with its final shape. Close your eyes, there's so much more than just some concrete bricks in Moerwijk.
