PIÈCE MONTÉE

Celebration of life with a modular and stackable structures to present food during shared meals

Hosted by Rose Daher

This project is now archived and was part of DDW24

Rose believes that celebrations can be manifested through the simplest detail. For Rose, growing up in a French household meant every meal was a cherished family time. The often mismatched tableware created a theatrical setting. The care in preparing, presenting, and serving food remains fundamental

“Pièce montée” is a novel approach to serving food

"I aim to elevate our everyday meals beyond basic nourishment by repurposing discarded flea market items, reusing and reshaping them. Through this process, I foster sustainability and social connection while celebrating the hidden potential and stories of used objects. Through my creation of the “pièce montée”, I create a new atmosphere that encourages a sense of togetherness and celebrates life". A bientôt, Rose
