Crafting Stories

Crafting stories: from concept to creation
In Crafting stories: from concept to creation, Summa Wonen & Design and Summa Fashion each present their own work as part of one shared exhibition.

Summa Wonen & Design showcases graduation work by students, who translate their concepts into innovative interior and furniture designs. Summa Fashion presents the Summa Modehuis, an annual interdisciplinary project in which students collaborate across different disciplines. Each year, a new creative director guides the project. For the 2026 collection, that was Steven Blanco, who inspired the students with his vision and creativity.

Visitors can discover how young designers translate personal and social themes into work that can be seen, touched and experienced.

The strength of this presentation lies in the meeting of fashion and living. Both disciplines shape how we express ourselves and how we live. Bringing the work together creates unexpected connections and new ideas. The students show how design begins with curiosity and grows through imagination, experimentation and craftsmanship.
