We have become adept at predicting and measuring mobility behaviour. We select models that allow people to make choices based on time, cost and efficiency. But do we also take into account how people actually experience their journey, what they see and what they actually want to do along the way?
Led by Humankind together with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, this is a creative workshop aimed at thinkers, practitioners of different backgrounds and policy-makers of any field interested in the human experience within the mobility system. Drawing from citizen experience, performance arts and speculative thinking, this three-hour workshop (including break) unpacks the concept of human-centric design in mobility. The session feeds into ongoing work by Humankind and the Ministry of Infrastructure on broad welfare within the mobility system, aimed at creating a mental shift in the way we plan the future of movement in The Netherlands and beyond.
