No Repeats
No Two Alike brings together lighting and ceramics by Jonghoo Jeong (Studio Hoo) and Moonseop Seo (Studio Moon), two designers based at Sectie-C, Eindhoven. Both practices follow a repeatable process, yet neither one ever produces the same result twice. Seen side by side, the two series reveal a shared idea: variation is not something added on top of a process, but something that comes from within it. Each piece is a completely unique object, shaped not by design choice but by the process itself.
Layered Light
Jonghoo Jeong builds his mushroom-shaped lamps from stacked layers of mixed media. Each layer is applied by hand, one on top of the other, and settles slightly differently every time. The result is a form that never repeats itself, and a shadow, shaped by the lamp's silhouette, that is deliberately designed as part of the piece.
Cast in Clay
Moonseop Seo slip-casts his ceramic table lamps using plaster block molds. The blocks are arranged in a new combination for every piece, so no two lamps ever come out the same shape. Quiet and sculptural, each lamp carries the trace of its own making — proof that even a fixed process can never fully repeat itself.
