Making the Invisible Visible
Noom is a wearable patch that transforms menstrual phases into colour.
Using a new electrochromic bacterial cellulose interface, the project turns invisible biological changes into a visual language that can be worn on the body.
Part health technology and part personal accessory, NOOM invites users to engage with their menstrual cycle in a more intuitive and expressive way. Rather than relying on screens, graphs or notifications, the patch communicates through colour, making biological information immediate, personal and easy to understand.
By combining living materials and electronics, the project explores how future wearables might help us build more meaningful relationships with our bodies and the invisible processes that shape everyday life.
