Material Dialogue
Furniture series made of irregularly shaped found wood and discarded cardboard. I begin with observing the unique qualities of each piece of wood and asked how I could preserve and extend its character through making. Cardboard became a playful material that allowed me to experiment while complementing the wood. By combining these different materials, I created new forms and functions. Organic Gestures explores how forms emerge through the dialogue between my hands and the materials.
