Splitted Medicine Cabinet
Splitted Medicine Cabinet
Teun Zwets’ new presentation at Piet Hein Eek features a mirror, medicine cabinet, shelf and other wall objects from the Splitted Collection, alongside selected furniture and new work with photographer Jeroen van der Wielen.

Splitted

Teun Zwets’ Splitted Collection starts with splitting wooden beams with an axe. The resulting cracks, grain and texture of the wood remain visible and become the starting point for the furniture. Chairs, tables, cabinets and other objects emerge from this process, each with its own form and character. The collection is handmade and finished with a high-gloss lacquer.
