How do you want to grow older?
Every life holds a story, full of memories, choices, dreams and moments that shape who you are. And every life has a final chapter. What would you like yours to look like?
The last chapter invites you to think about how you want to grow older. What do you hope to keep doing? What worries you? And what will matter to you if you ever need care or support? These stories matter to care professionals too. Because who you are today is shaped by everything that came before. Personal stories help the professionals see the person behind the need for care. Because care should follow the way we live.
Step into other people’s life stories through a life-sized digital book and an interactive bookcase with audio recordings and QR codes. Discover their memories, hopes, ideals, doubts and difficult choices about growing older. Add your own story and share your thoughts, becoming part of a growing story about ageing in the region.
Care should follow the way we live
The last chapter is partly inspired by the ideas of humanitarian activist Teun Toebes.
VVT Platform Zuidoost-Brabant and Samen Precies! bring organisations together to help people across the region live healthy, meaningful lives as they grow older. People of all ages are invited to think about how they want to live, right up to the end. At the heart of this work is one important belief: care should follow the way we live.
During Dutch Design Week 2026, The last chapter brings this idea to life. Discover other people’s stories, reflect on your own future and add your voice to a growing story about ageing in the region.
What will your story be? Will you share it?
