Rens, Matias, Lele and Kellin
At Burgers during DDW26, designers Lele & Rens, Matias & Kellin build a pop-up where fashion is rebuilt from discarded materials. Try, buy and rethink clothing through shows, haircuts and workshops—proof that fashion can be made differently.

R.A.W. Rebellion

DDW26's theme, R.A.W. (Rebel Authentic Worth), calls for design that embraces the unpolished and the experimental: raw material before it is smoothed into something safe.
Our project takes its essence from those concepts : every piece is handmade from fabric that has already lived a different life. A curtain, bike tires, worn out trousers, all get a new chapter as clothing that challenges gender, social norms, common ways of production, and plays with unusual patterns and materials.
It is a rebellion against an industry dominated by big brands, exploitative working conditions and mountains of waste. Proof that fashion can be made differently.

The Pop Up

During Dutch Design Week 2026, Burgers transforms into a celebration of upcycling and sustainable fashion. Young designers Lele and Rens, joined by Matias (metalwork) and Kellin (hair stylist), create a popup space where people can try and experiment with their appearance. A range of wearables and objects made from discarded, dead-stocks and secondhand materials will be available to try and buy at accessible prices.

Hang Out

Throughout the week, the experience comes alive with two live fashion shows, free to attend for everyone, a haircut salon and a few workshops around reinvention. And when you just want to hang out, there is room for that too. Pull up a chair, grab a cold drink, get a haircut and settle into a space that feels more like a living room than a shop. Talk about fashion and sustainability with people who care about it as much as you do.
