This project explores the relationship between material, time, and the human hand. Each piece is entirely handmade: every fragment of glass is carefully cut by hand and intuitively placed, allowing the composition to emerge through the process.

Universal patterns

This series of work is inspired by the significant, repetitive rhythms found in the natural structures that surround us — from microscopic biological forms and botanical landscapes to vast cosmological structures. By abstracting these forms, they become part of a universal visual language, no longer belonging to one specific scale, species, or system. The same patterns and geometries seem to echo across different layers of reality, regardless of their size or complexity.

Harmony

Within these recurring structures, I am fascinated by the idea of harmony: not as perfect symmetry, but as a continuous balance between different elements and forces. The connection between the microcosm and the macrocosm has fascinated humanity for thousands of years. These recurring forms have often been used to reflect upon our place within a larger, interconnected, symbiotic whole. Perhaps they are not something to define, but a language we can learn to recognise and feel — a rhythm that connects us to the world around us.

Craftmenship

I translate this research through my practice as a glass artist. Each work is entirely handmade, with every fragment carefully cut and intuitively composed. My relationship with glass is built through time, patience, and an intimate understanding of the material. Rather than forcing a predetermined outcome, I allow the material and the process to guide the work. Through this dialogue, each piece gradually develops its own character. The traces of the hand, subtle variations, and time invested in making become part of its identity — giving the work a sense of soul.
