What do you want to unlearn?
What worked well yesterday might not work tomorrow. Technology is changing and challenges are becoming more complex. Yet we easily fall back on familiar ways of thinking and working.
But if you want to work differently, you may have to unlearn some things first. So, what do you think we should finally stop doing? Thinking everything through before we even try? Designing for people instead of with them? Reducing complex problems to a single cause? Or simply saying, 'that’s just how we do things'?
Un/learn it. Choose a contract and decide which habit, assumption or way of working you want to unlearn. Write it down, sign it and stamp it. Then put it through the shredder and add it to the growing pile of shared frustrations.
Good. It’s gone. Now what?
Make room for something new
Making space is one thing. What skill do you want to develop in its place? That’s where Un/School comes in. Un/School helps professionals practise and apply skills from design. Think design research, futures thinking, working with AI and inclusive design.
You learn to break old habits, open yourself up to different perspectives and practise new ways of seeing, thinking and doing in the real world.
What will you learn next?
Join the Un/School Festival, a bootcamp for creative skills. Come on your own, with colleagues or as a designer, and explore new ways of working alongside professionals from different organisations.
Want to change the way your whole team works? Un/School’s in-company training helps your organisation develop the skills and ways of working it needs to move forward. Un/School creates a tailor-made programme based on your team’s learning needs.
