Five Playgrounds - Five Ways to Discover Hidden Potential
Each playground starts with a different question and invites visitors to discover their own answers through participation.
MATERIALS — What can discarded bio-material become?
From Waste to Wonder invites visitors to explore organic waste as the beginning of something new. By touching, mixing and transforming materials such as spent coffee grounds, participants experience circular design first-hand and create their own biodegradable objects.
FOOD — How can we benefit from food beyond eating?
Foodie Boulevard invites visitors to explore food as a playground for creativity, storytelling, self-expression, and connection. Participants can create with edible materials while ingredients are available, or use writing, drawing, and other forms of expression to explore their own food memories, stories, and ideas.
SPACES — What else can a familiar space enable?
Net(Anders)Werken invites visitors to reconsider the possibilities already hidden in familiar places. By exploring connections between spaces, people, expertise, and networks, participants discover how existing resources can generate new social, cultural and economic value.
LEARNING — How can we extend learning beyond education?
Cities of Learning invites visitors to experience possible futures through immersive XR experiences and reconsider where meaningful learning happens. Through VR, AR, and Open Badges, participants discover how skills and knowledge developed beyond formal education can become visible, recognised, and shareable.
COMMUNITIES — What can communities create together?
Vredesburo Eindhoven invites visitors to explore how our collective experiences can contribute to peace. Participants bring their own ideas, stories, and perspectives to the Great Peace Palace, an evolving creation that asks what ordinary people can imagine and build together.
Your Perspective Becomes Part of Hidden Potential!
Every playground invites you to leave something behind: an idea, question, story, creation, or discovery. These contributions come together in the Wall of Wisdom, an evolving collection of perspectives created by the people who experience Hidden Potential throughout Dutch Design Week.
Come curious. Bring what you know. Discover what you haven't considered yet.
