Among Strangers

The Social Hub Eindhoven and Social Label are joining forces. We’re creating connections between DDW visitors, refugees, locals, designers and makers.   During Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, The Social Hub and Social Label are inviting refugees, locals and visitors to bring the lobby to life together. Over the course of nine days, a blank canvas will evolve into a rich collection of stories, objects and art, which Social Label’s De KoekjesClub will turn into a single work of art celebrating connection and our multicultural society. At the end of the week, we will donate this artwork to Eindhoven City Council as a lasting symbol of that connection.   In addition, on Saturday and Sunday, Social Label will be presenting their eye-catching mobile workshop outside, featuring the biscuit tin with the new flavour of the Netherlands. Visitors are invited to have a chat and will be offered coffee by The Social Hub Eindhoven.
