In the circular economy, waste is a thing of the past. Waste no longer exists; everything is a raw material and is part of a cycle. The circular economy is the necessary economy of the future. How do hotels contribute to this economy and to a sustainable city in the broadest sense of the word? Especially after the Corona pandemic. Will the next hotel be a transformation or a new construction project? How does the hotel entrepreneur look to the future? How has the City of Amsterdam encouraged its 'front runners' in this challenge? What does this mean for the daily routine of the hotel guest?

The Cradle to Cradle Café is an initiative conceived in 2010, born out of a collaboration between Koninklijke Ahrend, Tarkett, Koninklijke Mosa and QbiQ Wall Systems. Each of these companies develop and produce their products adhering to Cradle to Cradle principles. Cradle to Cradle Cafes are mini-seminars in which a variety of inspiring speakers discuss current and varied subjects relating to sustainability and the Cradle to Cradle philosophy.
