For the 'Messmerizing Collection', we have chosen pieces that show the versatility of vintage design. From a 1980s Memphis Design Mendini Cabinet to a set of French Kali Sofa's by Michel Ducaroy.
These pieces are easily combined with contemporary art and using vintage is also more sustainable.

One of the items we will showcase is the 'Z-shaped Italian Console in Oak and Walnut 1980s'.
This Italian item from the 1980s can actually not only be categorized as a console but has a more ambiguous and hybrid character. Due to its z-shape and height, this piece can be used in various ways. It can therefore serve as a console, but you can also sit on it or use it as an object in itself.
Viewed from the side, the design unmistakably reminds us of Gerrit Rietveld's zig-zag chair. A chair that is widely seen as a pure example of synthesis between form, function, and construction. Perhaps this has also been the inspiration for the designer and a small nod has been made by shaking up the proportions of this design a bit.
