The conceptual Diamond Makers Lab questions the role of emotion in economic value, and depicts a world where diamonds are made from meaningful things, like Notre Dame ashes or your mother's cakes.
Redefining luxury
Diamond Makers redefines luxury, recognising diamonds not just for their composition, but their emotional significance. These lab-grown diamonds, made from diverse organic materials, encapsulate various stories and meanings. Made from Rihanna-signed paper to Notre Dame ash, they become vessels for narratives. Through a year-long exploration, Diamond Makers identified 100 meaningful objects to turn into diamonds, highlighting the profound link between items and personal importance. This challenges conventional luxury, urging us to reconsider the true worth of diamonds and ponder what truly holds eternal value in our lives.
