"Petroleumweg 3196" explores the permanent contamination of clay. The work features tools attempting to cleanse refinery-tainted soil, which remains spoiled despite becoming malleable. Shaped into a temporary memorial, the clay symbolises the unseen toxicity and lasting damage beneath an oil spill.
