In the "Me, Myself & Eindhoven" project, Lunet and the municipality of Eindhoven are collaborating to empower people with intellectual disabilities to contribute to the city's development. Lunet clients indicated what they like about Eindhoven and what they would like to keep or change.
Creative participation in urban development
Graphic designer Evie Sparidaens of design agency Tante Netty collaborated with us to creatively translate clients' input. They did this by transforming photos, sketches, and stories about the city into a uniquely inclusive coloring book. In addition to the coloring book, various products were developed that visualize the themes of inclusion and agency. These designs were created in a variety of materials, including textiles, ceramics, wood, and paper art. By collaborating in workshops, clients' stories took on a tangible form. This resulted in unique objects that are not only special but also tell a powerful social story. The combination of these designs and participation makes this project special and valuable.
During your visit, clients themselves give tours, demonstrating the process and the final result. Besides feeding your brain, you can also fill your stomach in our restaurant, where you can enjoy a delicious plate full of color and flavors from the city. Fresh and homemade.
For all Eindhoven residents and everyone else who enjoys spending time here!
