The name Lulu draws from Ludic Design, a philosophy that embraces play, curiosity, and joy in the objects we live with. It also echoes the designer's own name, Nunu, and reflects a name familiar and affectionate within Taiwanese culture, inviting a sense of warmth and closeness. Built on a tumbler-like structure reminiscent of a childhood toy, the lamps wobble and sway with a gentle touch, engaging multiple senses through texture, sound, and warmth.

A Gentle Companion

Drawing from a background in fashion design, the collection explores how personal style and the act of dressing shape our inner emotional landscape. Rooted in childhood memories of dressing up dolls, Lulu Lamp seeks to recreate the quiet companionship, comfort, and emotional attachment once found in a cherished toy.

Equipped with rechargeable LED technology, Lulu Lamp transcends its role as a domestic object to become a silent companion. Solitude is among the most profound, yet unacknowledged, experiences of modern living, quietly present in our homes each day. A Second Life

Lulu Lamp is a series of handcrafted lighting pieces sculpted from reclaimed paper pulp and upcycled textiles. Through meticulous hand-finishing, each base takes on the tactile presence of raw metal, weathered ceramic, or textured concrete — embracing circular design and the quiet beauty of imperfection. Complementing the bases, the shades are crafted from recycled wool, rescued fabrics, and found objects, giving every piece a unique narrative. Made almost entirely by hand, the collection relies on minimal machinery and electricity, honoring a low-carbon process rooted in mindful craftsmanship.
