LEAFIES for the one you love

This project was part of DDW 2021
leafies

With this in mind, Jan Willem van Elten designed his playful metal leaves. Durable, flexible and above all decorative and a lasting memory.

A little more about LEAFIES and its origin

More than a year ago, Jan Willem van Elten started LEAFIES. For quite some time he had the idea of designing an "artificial flower or leaf" that you can give someone as a gift. "When the Corona virus literally attacked us, the moment was there, to work out my ideas and share them with the world. The Corona virus asks a lot of everyone and there was more and more distance between people. LEAFIES are an accessible way to put a heart to someone and support from a distance ".

The first orders went fast and before he knew it, there was a webshop, production was scaled up and orders were sent daily with heartwarming messages. “The strength lies in the total picture: a leaf with a card. You put a message on the card and the LEAFIES is the lasting memory. Everything goes through my hands and I see the most beautiful messages passing by”.

Tender Love and Care

The gesture of a flower, but slightly different. The LEAFIES are inspired by the organic shapes of plants, made of thin metal and in different colours. They last a lifetime and do just fine without a drop of water. So endless!
