The Vanves collection is a set of furniture designed by Gregoire Borach and made of Drop®Cake, a new material created by the company Procédés Chénel International.

Procédés Chénel International

Procédés Chénel International, a major player in paper architecture, is known for its solutions in Drop®Paper, a fire-rated non-woven paper. Intended for the event industry and virtually indestructible, the Drop®Paper is often used for unique and ephemeral events, which limits the possibilities of reuse.

Drop®Cake

In 2020, Procédés Chénel created a new material: the Drop® Cake. Composed of 40% polyethylene and 60% of Drop®Paper scraps, one Drop®Cake sheet can recycle over 250m2 of paper. The recovery is considerable.
In addition to being ecologically committed, the Drop®Cake has significant technical (rigidity, water resistance) and aesthetic qualities (made of random scraps of DropPaper, each DropCake sheet is unique and singular).

The Vanves collection

The Vanves collection is composed of "la Chaise", "la Table" and "le Tabouret". The collection is designed by Gregoire Borach and published by Maison Papier and was exhibited in 2022 at the Galerie Bertrand Grimont and at the Galerie Joseph during the Paris Design Week. "La Chaise Vanves" was published in the Elle DĂ©coration magazine in June 2022.
